Speedtest reset
I had to reset the speedtest because there were too many scores in the database and I think its kinda disappointing if you type an average 65 words per minute and just reach position 35.000 or worst. So, try to beat the score again ![]()

Hi again. On the speed test, instead of (or as well as) displaying ‘you achieved position 5010′, you could display something like ‘you’ve beaten 72.2% of all previous records’ - that way users will get a better idea of how well they are doing relatively to everybody else, and it won’t matter how big your database gets. Feel free to ignore though.

Hey Rob,
thats a great idea, I will implement this in the next days.

Say, couldn’t you rather just show “You’ve gotten rank # out of #”?
I really would have wished the test had some kind of statistics, like showing average speeds and what the fastest person had.
I’m proud i got 869 rank before you reset though =)

I’m sorry for the reset, but there were too many entries in the database and a lot of fake entries. At the moment I think about which result I’ll show, maybe both types?

think you’ve been flooded again - I just got 73 wpm and it told me my rank was 40000 or some such. Great test though, and will look at your typing tutor for my daughter
